Burke & Wills Hotel

We completed a major internal and external refurbishment of the historic Burke & Wills Hotel in Toowoomba for Hakfoort Group. Originally built in 1957, the hotel’s distinctive character was central to the redevelopment, balancing its history with the expectations of modern guests.

The works encompassed all guest rooms and suites, function rooms and the bistro, alongside construction of a new gaming room and double-level foyer. The refurbished hotel offers 82 elegant rooms, comprising 69 four-and-a-half-star rooms and 13 five-star suites, with contemporary décor and modern finishes throughout. Two restaurants, a bar and five multipurpose function rooms complete the transformation, creating a refreshed destination for visitors and the local community.
