Gatton Shire Hall
Project Summary
About
Built in 1978, Gatton Shire Hall received a modern facelift through the refurbishment of its 1,230m² building. The foyer was upgraded with new ceiling and wall finishes, complemented by feature lighting recessed into timber panels.
The auditorium and backstage areas received new audiovisual equipment and lighting to meet current compliance standards. The bar area was extended to accommodate a new cold room, improving service efficiency. The kitchen was also modernised with new flooring and a cold room.
Externally, new Stencilcrete paths and lush landscaping refreshed the courtyard. The two-storey staircase leading to the kitchen was screened with feature perforated aluminium.
Completed within a short 13-week timeframe, the refurbishment delivered upgraded facilities for Lockyer Valley Regional Council and the local community.
